We loved it. Our particular standout favourites were the lamb balti and the potato/cauliflower dish. They had a very good deal of 60euro from a set menu of 2 starters, 2 curries, pilau, naan and a bottle of house red or white. We had that and added some other dishes and the four of us ate “family style” . Service was lovely.

They food is authentic Indian i see one person name mandar review about they dont treat Indian well but they treated me so good with discount as well the owner must have got pissed off with there habit because they want one waiter just servicing their table just serving anything in the call like naan and other dishes Indian are idiots try to save money all the time I’m Indian too but I’ve never seen some people 7 people ordering 2 dish and 10 naan like thats awful you going to a restaurant not dhaba just enjoy the food , as an Indian Kumars is best in India food love it more than Kashmir, tulsi, spice India or eastern Tandorri in galway This only because the both chef and the owner is authentic Indian others are Bangladeshi and Pakistani

Our last night in Galway was fantastic. The culinary highlight was Kumar’s Taste of India. Staff were inviting, friendly prompt and helpful in discussing the menu. Great selection! Poppadoms and three tasty sauces started the meal~complimentary. We limited our experience to Butter Chicken, Raita, Pilau Rice and Garlic Naan. All was excellent! Portions were bigger than what we typically expect. Prices were also better than what we have typically paid. Decor was interesting ~ our eyes wandered the walls. This is a must experience in Galway!

So good I made a reservation for another meal while paying the bill

Spotted it from the bus I was on and thought, huh, wish I had time between buses today to go eat there, could really go for some South Asian; was back in the city the following week and knew exactly where I was going to try dinner. Place was packed but they managed to squeeze me in (the woman I assume who is the proprietor had apologized for how much time it took to seat me, but it wasn’t even ten minutes from when I walked in to when I was seated). I’d figured it being busy was a good sign, and once the food came out, my assumption was proven correct. I had lamb korma and some garlic naan, the portions were hearty and the food was delicious. I practically licked the plate clean. Food was so good that when I was paying my bill I made a reservation for dinner the following evening.
